Licensing Due Diligence

A filing is not a licence. The Authority looks at the legal entity before it sets a record to active.

  • The applicant is the legal entity that will hold the permission, not a trading name or a marketing site.
  • The filing names the country of incorporation and a Legal Entity Identifier where one has been issued.
  • Control of the entity is declared. A later change of control is reported.
  • Categories, domains, and addresses are specific enough to publish.

Only an administrator of the Authority can move a filing to active. The applicant cannot publish its own status.
